Terms of service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Calvenna website and any purchase you make through it. The site is operated by Calvenna Limited, a private company incorporated in Hong Kong. By browsing the site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. About us. Calvenna Limited is registered in Hong Kong under Business Registration No. [BR number]. Our registered office is at [registered address]. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” in these terms mean Calvenna Limited.

2. Use of the site. You may browse the site, create an account, and place orders if you are 18 or older (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a binding contract. We may refuse service, terminate an account, or cancel an order at our discretion, particularly in cases of suspected fraud or breach of these terms.

3. Orders and prices. Prices on the site are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include applicable taxes where stated. Prices, availability, and product information may change without notice. An order becomes a binding contract only when we send a shipping confirmation; before that point we may decline or cancel.

4. Shipping and risk. Shipping methods, costs, and delivery windows are shown at checkout. Risk passes to you on delivery to the address you provided at the time of order. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, force majeure, or any event outside our reasonable control.

5. Returns. Our return policy is set out separately below and on the Customer service page. Statutory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

6. Intellectual property. Text, photography, illustrations, code, and design elements on this site belong to Calvenna Limited or our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, train models on, or use any of it commercially without prior written permission.

7. Liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our aggregate liability to you for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence applies.

9. Changes. We update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page. Material changes affecting active orders will be communicated by email where possible.

Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Calvenna Limited collects when you visit the site or place an order, how we use it, and what rights you have. We are a private company incorporated in Hong Kong. Our registered office is shown on our Contact page.

What we collect. When you place an order we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, and phone number if provided. Payment details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. If you create an account we also store the email and password you set. If you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email address along with a record of consent. The site uses cookies and similar technologies, listed in full under our Cookie Policy below.

How we use it. We use this information to fulfil and ship your order, communicate with you about it, manage your account, send you newsletters when you have asked to receive them, respond to customer service messages, and improve the site over time. We also use aggregated, anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used and where it can be improved.

Legal bases. For customers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions, the legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (orders and account management), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics), consent (newsletters, non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax records, statutory retention).

Third parties. We share information only with the providers we need to run the business: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our payment processor, shipping carriers (including Aramex and others depending on your destination), and our email service provider. Each operates under a data processing agreement that limits use of your data to the services we have contracted them to provide.

Your rights. You can request access to the information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, and request a copy in a portable format. You can object to marketing communications at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any newsletter or by writing to us. Requests are processed within 30 days. Retention. Order records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law, which is seven years under Hong Kong rules. Account data is kept until you delete the account. Newsletter consent records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short audit period.

International transfers. Because our service providers are based in different countries, your data may be transferred outside your country of residence. Where required by law we use the appropriate transfer safeguards, such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children. The site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Refund policy

Items can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of receipt, provided they are unworn and unwashed, with all original tags attached and in resellable condition. To start a return, write to hello@calvenna.com with your order number. We email a return label or direct you to your nearest Aramex pickup point depending on your region.

Once your return arrives back with us we inspect it within three business days. If it meets the conditions above, we issue the refund to your original payment method. Funds typically appear in your account within five to ten business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

Some items are non-returnable for hygiene or compliance reasons: face masks, underwear, swimwear with the hygiene liner removed, pierced jewellery, and gift cards. Items returned damaged, washed, or with the security tag removed cannot be refunded.

Free returns are available for orders shipping within the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia, through our partner Aramex pickup network (see the Returns section on the Customer service page for the current list of cities). Returns from other regions are accepted, but the return shipping cost is paid by the customer.

This policy is offered in addition to your statutory consumer rights under applicable law and does not affect those rights.

Cookie policy

Calvenna uses cookies and similar technologies on this site. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device that helps the site remember your preferences, keep your shopping bag and login session active, and measure how the site is used. This policy explains which categories of cookies we use and how to manage them.

Essential cookies. Required for the site to function. They keep your shopping bag persistent across pages, maintain your account login, and prevent cross-site request forgery on form submissions. They expire when you close the browser or, for account sessions, after 30 days of inactivity. These cannot be switched off.

Functional cookies. Remember your preferences: language, currency, the country you ship to, and whether you have dismissed banners. They expire after one year.

Analytics cookies. Help us understand which pages are visited, where customers come from, and where they drop off. We use Shopify’s built-in analytics and may add third-party analytics platforms in future. All analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Marketing cookies. If you have consented, these allow us to measure the performance of advertising and personalise communications. They are set by us and by third parties such as advertising networks. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.

Managing cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the site from working correctly. To withdraw consent for non-essential cookies on Calvenna, use the cookie settings link in the footer.

Accessibility

We design the Calvenna site to be usable by everyone, including people with visual, motor, or cognitive impairments. Our internal target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which covers contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and clear focus indication.

We test the site with screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA), keyboard-only navigation, and accessibility audit tools as part of every significant release. Limitations we are aware of:

  • Some legacy product images do not yet have descriptive alt text. We add this as part of catalogue updates.
  • The product card hover effect is decorative and does not affect functionality, but the animation may be distracting for some users. A reduced-motion mode is planned for the next major theme update.

If you encounter a barrier on the site, please write to hello@calvenna.com with a short description and the URL of the page where the issue occurred. We treat accessibility reports as real bugs and prioritise them. Responses come within one business day.
